Over the last month we have been pushing doors with potential new venues for our Sunday gatherings. While there's nothing inherently wrong with our current space at Kents Hill Park, we've been aware for some time that it comes with its own set of challenges—particularly the constant heating issues, the distance from the car park to the entrance, the lack of promised storage, and the limited room access as our Kids ministry continues to grow.
With all this in mind, we've been exploring other options, and one that has opened up recently is Monkston Primary School—just across H8 Standing Way, and one grid square up from our currently location. We know no venue is perfect, and Monkston does come with a few trade-offs. But as we've prayed and sort the Lord, we felt him speaking to us from John 21, and the moment when the resurrected Jesus appears to His disciples—seasoned fishermen—who’ve been out all night and caught nothing. Jesus calls to them from the shore and tells them to “cast the net on the right side of the boat.”
At face value, it doesn’t make a lot of sense. These men know the lake. They’ve tried everything. What difference could a few feet make? But in obedience, they respond—and the result is staggering: more fish than their nets can hold.As we prepare for our move to Monkston, this story feels like a quiet nudge from the Spirit.
Humanly speaking, moving from a large secondary school to a primary school across the road might not look like the most strategic upgrade. But what if this is our “cast your net on the right side” moment? What if an act of obedience, not opinion, is what unlocks the fruit? What if positioning ourselves—quite literally on the other side of H8 Standing Way—puts us in the very place Jesus wants us to be for the next catch? We’re not moving because it all makes perfect sense on paper. We’re moving because we believe Jesus is leading—and that He still fills nets when we follow His voice.
So our posture is expectancy. Our hope is obedience over outcome. And our prayer is:“Lord, if this is the other side of the boat, we trust You’ll meet us there—with more than we could ever ask or imagine.”
Therefore, from Sunday 7th September, we will be making the move to Monkston Primary School. We're excited about what this means for us as a church, and we'd love for you to join us in praying for a smooth transition. If you have any questions, please do get in touch or come and speak to us directly.
Much blessing

As we prepare to move to Monkston, there are three key ways you can be part of the journey:
...
As we prepare to step into this new chapter in Monkston, your presence each Sunday plays a vital role in shaping the culture and community we’re building. When we show up consistently, we create space for connection, encouragement, and spiritual growth—not just for ourselves, but for those around us. Whether you’re new or have been with us for a while, your presence helps bring energy, unity, and momentum as we move forward together. Let’s make Sundays a time of anticipation and celebration as we gather in faith and expectation.
Moving to Monkston isn’t just about a new location—it’s about creating a home where people encounter God and find belonging. One of the best ways to be part of that is by serving on a team. Whether it’s welcoming guests, setting up spaces, leading in worship, or supporting behind the scenes, your gifts and time make a real impact. Teams are also where deep friendships form and where we learn to lead and grow together. Everyone has something to bring—and your involvement can help make Monkston a place where people feel seen, known, and loved.
This move is an exciting next step in our journey as church, and we invite you to be part of it through your generosity. Your giving helps fund practical needs like equipment, outreach, and hiring of space like Monkston, but even more importantly, it fuels the mission and when we give, regularly and consistently we declare our trust in God’s provision and invest in something bigger than ourselves. Whether it’s a one-time gift or an ongoing commitment, every contribution helps us lay a strong foundation for what’s ahead.
